A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ksmbd component related to validating Security Identifiers (SIDs) in parent security descriptors during ACL inheritance has been resolved. The issue involved improper validation of Owner SID and Group SID inside the NT Security Descriptor retrieved from the parent directory.
