In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pds_core: fix debugfs_lookup dentry leak and error handling debugfs_lookup()… (CVE-2026-64147)CVE-2026-64147 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's pds_core component related to debugfs_lookup() has been resolved. The function debugfs_lookup() returns a dentry with an elevated reference count that must be released with dput(). The existing code discarded this dentry without releasing it, causing a reference count leak during firmware reset recovery. Additionally, when CONFIG_DEBUG_FS is disabled, debugfs_lookup() returns an error pointer rather than NULL, and the current error handling incorrectly calls dput() on invalid pointers, leading to potential kernel crashes.
