In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: module: decompress: check return value of module_extend_max_pages()… (CVE-2026-64297)CVE-2026-64297 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel module decompression code arises from the failure to check the return value of module_extend_max_pages(), which internally calls kvrealloc(). On allocation failure, kvrealloc() returns -ENOMEM, but this error is not handled, leading to a potential dereference of a ZERO_SIZE_PTR and a kernel oops. The issue has been fixed by adding the missing error check and returning immediately on failure. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/25/2026, 12:31:30 UTC Added: 07/25/2026, 23:09:02 UTC |
