In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: ccp - Do not initialize SNP for SEV ioctls Sashiko notes: > if SEV… (CVE-2026-64310)CVE-2026-64310 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's crypto CCP module related to SEV ioctls was resolved. The issue involved improper initialization of SNP during SEV ioctl operations, which could lead to clearing a critical register (MSR_VM_HSAVE_PA) and potentially cause a host crash via a general protection fault during VM execution. The fix ensures SNP is not initialized unnecessarily for certain SEV ioctls and surfaces underlying firmware errors correctly.
