In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvmet-auth: validate reply message payload bounds against transfer length… (CVE-2026-64319)CVE-2026-64319 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's nvmet-auth component allows out-of-bounds heap reads due to improper validation of variable-length reply message payloads. Specifically, the nvmet_auth_reply() function does not verify that attacker-controlled hash length and DH value length fields fit within the allocated buffer, enabling a malicious NVMe-oF initiator to cause out-of-bounds reads pre-authentication. This issue has been resolved by adding bounds validation before accessing variable-length fields. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/25/2026, 12:31:31 UTC Added: 07/25/2026, 23:09:01 UTC |
