The issue occurs in ffs_dmabuf_transfer() where a dma_fence object is allocated and referenced improperly, causing a reference count imbalance. This leads to a slow memory leak as dma_fence objects are not freed correctly. The fix involves transferring ownership of the fence to the DMA reservation object to ensure proper release.
