In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq: Fix hotplug-suspend race during reboot During system reboot,… (CVE-2026-64373)CVE-2026-64373 0 A race condition vulnerability in the Linux kernel's CPU frequency scaling (cpufreq) subsystem during system reboot has been fixed. The issue arises because cpufreq_suspend() is called during reboot without freezing processes, allowing CPU hotplug operations to run concurrently. This can lead to a null pointer dereference due to unsynchronized access to governor_data, causing kernel faults. The fix involves adding synchronization to prevent CPU hotplug operations during suspend. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/25/2026, 12:31:33 UTC Added: 07/25/2026, 23:08:58 UTC |
