A null pointer dereference vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth hci_abort_conn() function was resolved. The issue occurred when hci_abort_conn() accessed hdev->sent_cmd while it could be NULL during a pending connection, causing a null pointer dereference and a general protection fault. The fix involves tracking the create connection command state with a new flag and ensuring atomic cancellation to prevent use-after-free and related faults.
