A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's staging rtl8723bs driver involves out-of-bounds (OOB) reads in three IE/attribute parsing functions: rtw_get_sec_ie(), rtw_get_wapi_ie(), and rtw_get_wps_attr(). These functions lack proper bounds checks when parsing raw IE buffers, which can lead to reading beyond the buffer limits. The issue has been resolved by adding appropriate bounds checks and early returns to prevent OOB reads.
