A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's rtl8723bs staging driver was resolved, addressing two bugs in the OnAuth() function related to WEP decryption. The first bug involves a length underflow that can cause an out-of-bounds read in the crc32_le() function when processing frames with the Privacy bit set. The second bug involves an out-of-bounds read during Challenge Text IE verification due to improper length checks. Both issues are fixed by adding proper length validation before processing the data.
