In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 6lowpan: fix NHC entry use-after-free on error path… (CVE-2026-64452)CVE-2026-64452 0 A use-after-free vulnerability was identified and fixed in the Linux kernel's 6LoWPAN implementation. The issue occurs in the lowpan_nhc_do_uncompression() function where a descriptor's name is accessed after the lock protecting it is released, allowing a race condition with descriptor unregistration and freeing. This can lead to a use-after-free memory access. The fix involves printing the warning message before releasing the lock to ensure safe access to the descriptor name. The malformed packet causing the error is still rejected. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/25/2026, 12:31:36 UTC Added: 07/25/2026, 23:08:56 UTC |
