In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: es1938: check snd_ctl_new1() return value snd_ctl_new1() can return NULL… (CVE-2026-64484)CVE-2026-64484 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel ALSA es1938 driver was resolved by adding a NULL pointer check after the snd_ctl_new1() function call. The snd_ctl_new1() function can return NULL if memory allocation fails, but the snd_es1938_mixer() function did not check this return value before dereferencing the pointer, leading to a potential NULL pointer dereference. The fix adds a check to return an error code (-ENOMEM) if snd_ctl_new1() returns NULL. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/25/2026, 12:31:37 UTC Added: 07/25/2026, 23:08:55 UTC |
