In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: buffer: hw-consumer: free scan_mask on buffer release The scan_mask… (CVE-2026-64498)CVE-2026-64498 0 A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Industrial I/O (IIO) subsystem was resolved by properly freeing the scan_mask bitmap on buffer release. The issue arose after a code change that moved scan_mask to a separate allocation but did not update the release function accordingly. This could lead to memory management errors in the kernel.
