The issue involves reuse of branch prediction state when new JIT-compiled code is written into memory previously occupied by other programs, potentially allowing indirect jumps to reuse old branch predictions. The fix introduces a mechanism to flush indirect branch predictors before reusing JIT memory, preventing reuse of stale predictions. This mitigation is applied selectively based on architecture and program size assumptions. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 07/25/2026, 12:31:38 UTC Added: 07/25/2026, 23:08:54 UTC |
