In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: NFIT: core: Fix acpi_nfit_init() error cleanup If acpi_nfit_init() fails… (CVE-2026-64510)CVE-2026-64510 0 A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ACPI NFIT core was fixed. The issue occurs when acpi_nfit_init() fails after adding an acpi_desc object to the acpi_descs list but does not properly remove it, leaving a dangling pointer. Subsequent ACPI Machine Check Exceptions trigger a use-after-free in nfit_handle_mce(). Additional scenarios involving notify handlers and driver removal can also lead to similar use-after-free conditions. The fix involves improved error cleanup and adding a remove callback to ensure proper shutdown and removal of acpi_desc objects.
