In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/hyperv: validate VMBus packet size in receive callback hyperv_receive_sub()… (CVE-2026-64527)CVE-2026-64527 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/hyperv component related to the handling of VMBus packet sizes in the receive callback hyperv_receive_sub() has been resolved. The issue involved improper validation of the packet size, allowing memcpy operations to read beyond the intended buffer size, potentially exposing residual data from prior messages. The fix includes validating the received packet size before processing, rejecting malformed packets, and logging rejected packets instead of silently dropping them.
