The issue occurs because a rxe_mmap_info struct is removed from a list and its reference count is still 1 when locks are released, allowing a race condition. Concurrent operations can free memory while it is still being accessed, leading to kernel crashes or page-level use-after-free conditions. Exploitation is considered difficult due to a very short timing window. No CVSS score is available for this vulnerability.
