The flaw involved a race condition where a bus_reset callback could outlive the driver structure, leading to potential invalid memory access. The fix introduces a mutex to serialize reset scheduling and cancellation, preventing work from running after the driver is freed. This patch addresses the lifetime management of the bus_reset work item but does not cover a separate asynchronous firmware completion issue.
