The issue occurs when a concurrent out-of-memory (OOM) condition disables debug objects and frees shadow objects, but a timer callback function is still invoked unconditionally, causing dysfunction. This affects the debug_object_assert_init() and debug_object_activate() functions, which must handle error pointer returns gracefully. The fix involves checking if debug objects are still enabled before invoking print and fixup functions in these cases.
