In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: 8250_mid: Fix NULL function pointer dereference on DNV/ICX-D/SNR… (CVE-2026-68434)CVE-2026-68434
0

A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was identified and fixed in the Linux kernel's 8250_mid serial driver affecting Denverton, Ice Lake Xeon D, and Snowridge platforms. The issue arose because function pointers for setup and exit callbacks were set to NULL but called without NULL checks, causing kernel crashes (kernel oops). The fix added the necessary NULL checks before invoking these callbacks.
