In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: sata_dwc_460ex: fix infinite loop in NCQ tag completion bit-scanning The… (CVE-2026-68449)CVE-2026-68449 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ata: sata_dwc_460ex driver caused an infinite loop in the NCQ tag completion bit-scanning code. The issue arises when the tag_mask has only high bits set, leading to an infinite loop in hardirq context with a spinlock held. The problem was fixed by replacing the custom bit-scanning loop with the __ffs() function, which correctly identifies the least significant set bit and prevents the infinite loop.
