The issue occurs because a buffer pointer (image->segment[i].buf) can be NULL and is copied without validation, potentially leading to a kernel crash. This flaw arises from the interaction between ima_add_kexec_buffer() and kexec_add_buffer(), where a NULL buffer is introduced and not checked before memcpy is called.
