A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's macsec_encrypt() function could cause a 12-byte heap out-of-bounds read when the MAC header is unset on the AF_PACKET SOCK_RAW + PACKET_QDISC_BYPASS transmit path. This occurs because macsec_encrypt() reads the Ethernet header assuming the MAC header is set, leading to an out-of-bounds memory read and potentially leaking data on the wire as the frame's outer source/destination MAC addresses. The issue has been resolved by changing the code to use skb_eth_hdr() which correctly handles unset MAC headers.
