A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mac802154 subsystem involved improper removal of interfaces using list_del() instead of list_del_rcu(), which could lead to use-after-free conditions during asynchronous transmit completions. This issue has been resolved by switching to list_del_rcu() and relying on unregister_netdevice() to wait for in-flight RCU readers before freeing resources.
