In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: HWS, fix matcher leak on resize target setup failure… (CVE-2026-72032)CVE-2026-72032
0

A memory leak vulnerability was identified and resolved in the Linux kernel's mlx5 hardware switch (HWS) component. The issue occurs when a replacement matcher allocated during a resize operation is not properly destroyed if the resize target setup fails, leading to a resource leak. The bug was detected through experimental analysis tools and manual inspection confirmed its presence in kernel version 7.1.1. No runtime testing was performed due to lack of hardware. No CVSS score is available for this vulnerability.
