In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ip6_gre: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink… (CVE-2026-72052)CVE-2026-72052 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IPv6 GRE tunnel implementation allowed insufficient privilege checks when changing tunnel link attributes across network namespaces. The functions ip6gre_changelink() and ip6erspan_changelink() did not properly verify CAP_NET_ADMIN capability in the tunnel's network namespace, potentially allowing a caller with privileges in one namespace to modify tunnels in another. This issue has been resolved by gating these operations on a capability check in the appropriate network namespace before processing any attributes.
