In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libertas_tf: fix use-after-free in lbtf_free_adapter() lbtf_free_adapter()… (CVE-2026-72070)CVE-2026-72070 0 A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's libertas_tf WiFi driver was resolved. The issue occurs in the lbtf_free_adapter() function, which deletes a timer without waiting for any running timer callback to complete. This can lead to the callback dereferencing freed memory during device teardown or probe error paths. The vulnerability is similar to a previously fixed issue in the sibling libertas driver. The fix involves using timer_delete_sync() to ensure any in-flight callbacks complete before freeing memory.
