0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's amdxdna accelerator driver was resolved by rejecting command submissions on devices that lack a submit operation. The issue caused a NULL function pointer dereference when the amdxdna_cmd_submit() function called a cmd_submit callback that was not defined for certain devices, leading to a kernel oops. The fix ensures that command submissions are rejected early with an error code if the device does not support the submit operation, preventing the kernel crash.
