The flaw involved lockless reads of socket binding state leading to inconsistent observations, potentially causing a socket bound to a specific CAN interface to incorrectly match any interface. Additionally, a silent failure in bcm_rx_setup() was fixed, which previously returned success when the target device disappeared concurrently, leaving a broken RX operation registered.
