In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: mlxbf: Fix use-after-free in mlxbf_i2c_init_resource() If… (CVE-2026-72140)CVE-2026-72140 0 A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's i2c mlxbf driver was fixed. The issue occurs in the mlxbf_i2c_init_resource() function when devm_platform_get_and_ioremap_resource() returns an error. The function frees a resource before reading from it to get an error code, causing a use-after-free condition. The fix involves saving the error code before freeing the resource.
