A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dmaengine driver for sh rz-dmac was resolved by changing the order of interrupt request setup. The issue involved requesting interrupts before the channel and related data structures were fully initialized, which could lead to invalid memory access or other issues when the interrupt handler ran immediately. The fix ensures interrupts are requested only after all setup is complete and replaces dma_alloc_coherent() with dmam_alloc_coherent() to simplify error handling.
