A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Tegra GPC DMA driver caused the DMA hardware to hang when transfer lengths were not multiples of the configured max burst size. This was due to incorrect burst size calculation leading to partial bursts that the hardware could not handle. The issue was observed with the PL011 UART driver where TX DMA transfers of arbitrary lengths would get stuck. The fix involves adjusting the burst size to the largest power-of-2 divisor of the transfer length to avoid partial bursts.
