In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fpga: microchip-spi: fix zero header_size OOB read in mpf_ops_parse_header()… (CVE-2026-72156)CVE-2026-72156 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's fpga microchip-spi driver was resolved. The issue involves an out-of-bounds read caused by a zero header_size value in the mpf_ops_parse_header() function. This leads to reading one byte before the start of the buffer, which is not prevented by buffer size checks. The fix involves returning an error code when header_size is zero to avoid the invalid memory access. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:14 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:25 UTC |
