The issue arises because section_activate() reuses an unoptimized boot memmap, but compound_nr_pages() assumes optimization, leading to some struct pages being left uninitialized. This can cause unexpected behavior or crashes. The fix treats early sections as unoptimized when calculating the number of struct pages to initialize.
