In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/sysfs-schemes: put stats for scheme_add_dirs() internal error… (CVE-2026-72176)CVE-2026-72176 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mm/damon/sysfs-schemes component caused improper reference handling during error paths in directory setup. Specifically, when the tried_regions directory setup fails, the error handling incorrectly releases the tried_regions directory reference instead of the stats directory, leading to a stats directory object leak and potential dereference of uninitialized memory.
