In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/sysfs-schemes: fix dir put orders in access_pattern_add_dirs() Patch… (CVE-2026-72177)CVE-2026-72177 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mm/damon/sysfs-schemes component was fixed to correct the order of directory reference releases in error handling paths. Incorrect handling could lead to uninitialized memory dereference or memory leaks during allocation failures in the access_pattern_add_dirs() and damon_sysfs_scheme_add_dirs() functions. This issue was discovered by Sashiko and addressed by a patch correcting the reference put orders to prevent these memory issues.
