In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/core: always put unsuccessfully committed target pids… (CVE-2026-72178)CVE-2026-72178 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's DAMON subsystem was resolved that could cause process IDs (pids) to be leaked when a commit operation fails. The issue arises during the commit of target pids between DAMON contexts, where unsuccessful commits may leave some pids unreleased if the destination context lacks a cleanup callback. This flaw is related to memory management in the commit operation and is unlikely to be common in typical use cases but is a supported feature.
