In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: landlock: Fix LANDLOCK_SCOPE_SIGNAL bypass on the SIGIO path… (CVE-2026-72183)CVE-2026-72183
0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Landlock security module allowed sandboxed processes to bypass the LANDLOCK_SCOPE_SIGNAL restriction via the asynchronous SIGIO signal delivery path. This flaw enabled a sandboxed process to signal or kill processes outside its Landlock domain, potentially affecting supervisory or security monitor processes. The issue was due to improper domain recording and signal delivery checks for process groups. The vulnerability has been resolved by improving domain recording and signal delivery logic to enforce the intended sandbox restrictions.
