A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NTFS3 filesystem driver was resolved involving an unchecked memmove length in the DeleteIndexEntryAllocation case within the do_action() function. The issue arises because a size value derived from on-disk data can cause a pointer offset calculation to underflow and be cast to a very large size_t, leading to a memmove operation that overruns the destination buffer. This can cause a kernel crash (oops). The patch applies bounds checking similar to a sibling case and rejects zero-length moves to prevent malformed entries from bypassing validation.
