In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jbd2: fix integer underflow in jbd2_journal_initialize_fast_commit()… (CVE-2026-72225)CVE-2026-72225 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's jbd2 journaling component was fixed to address an integer underflow in the jbd2_journal_initialize_fast_commit() function. The flaw occurs because unsigned integer subtraction can wrap around, bypassing a bounds check and causing corruption of journal variables, which leads to journal abort. The fix adds a check to prevent the underflow by validating the values before subtraction. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:16 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:23 UTC |
