0

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's jbd2 journaling component was fixed to address an integer underflow in the jbd2_journal_initialize_fast_commit() function. The flaw occurs because unsigned integer subtraction can wrap around, bypassing a bounds check and causing corruption of journal variables, which leads to journal abort. The fix adds a check to prevent the underflow by validating the values before subtraction.
