The issue involved the function pskb_may_pull() called by batadv_bla_is_backbone_gw(), which could reallocate the buffer behind the skb. Variables pointing to the old buffer were not reassigned, leading to a use-after-free condition. This vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel.
