In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_reasm: guard mac_header adjustment after IPv6 defrag… (CVE-2026-72250)CVE-2026-72250 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter subsystem related to IPv6 packet reassembly has been resolved. The issue involves incorrect adjustment of the mac_header offset after IPv6 defragmentation, which can cause the system to incorrectly interpret the presence of a MAC header. This flaw arises because the mac_header field is a u16 offset with a sentinel value indicating 'not set', and an unconditional addition causes it to wrap incorrectly. The vulnerability was fixed by adding a guard to the mac_header adjustment similar to a sibling implementation. No CVSS score is available for this issue.
