In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_nat_sip: reload possible stale data pointer quoting sashiko:… (CVE-2026-72251)CVE-2026-72251 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter SIP NAT helper (nf_nat_sip) was resolved. The issue involved a stale data pointer after skb_ensure_writable() reallocates a cloned or fragmented socket buffer (SKB), which nf_nat_sip failed to update. Additionally, the code incorrectly applied a UDP packet mangling function to TCP packets, potentially corrupting TCP sequence numbers. The fix involved rebuilding the data pointer after cloning and disabling the UDP mangling function for TCP streams.
