In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/fb-helper: Only consider active CRTCs for vblank sync Only synchronize fbdev… (CVE-2026-72313)CVE-2026-72313 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/fb-helper component related to vblank synchronization has been resolved. The issue involved synchronizing framebuffer device (fbdev) output only to the vblank of an active CRTC, avoiding waits when no active CRTC is found. This fix addresses potential warnings and timeouts occurring when fbdev output is not on CRTC 0. The update includes distinct code paths for atomic and non-atomic drivers and improvements to avoid deadlocks and excessive state validation.
