In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix busy dentry warning on unmount after DIO Commit c68337442f03… (CVE-2026-72315)CVE-2026-72315 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's CIFS SMB client was resolved that caused a busy dentry warning during unmount after direct I/O operations. The issue involved delayed release of dentry reference counts leading to warnings when unmounting CIFS filesystems. The fix introduces a per-superblock counter to track outstanding requests and waits for all cleanup work to complete before unmounting, preventing the busy dentry warning.
