CAKE accepted signed overhead values stored in a signed 16-bit integer, but used unsigned arithmetic for adjusted packet length calculation, allowing negative effective lengths to wrap to large values. This could cause rate accounting to rely on integer wraparound rather than the intended packet size. The fix clamps negative adjusted lengths before link-layer framing adjustments to prevent underflow. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/15/2026, 06:32:20 UTC Added: 08/15/2026, 15:53:21 UTC |
