In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: L2CAP: fix tx ident leak for commands without a response Commit… (CVE-2026-72333)CVE-2026-72333 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth L2CAP implementation caused a leak of transaction identifiers (idents) for commands that do not have a response. Specifically, identifiers allocated for L2CAP_LE_CREDITS packets were never released, leading to exhaustion of the 1-255 ident range. After exhaustion, new packets are sent with an invalid ident of 0, causing remote devices that validate idents to drop these packets and stall the channel permanently. This issue was fixed by releasing the ident immediately after sending such commands and correcting ident release for connection response commands.
