The issue arises because the function get_l2cap_conn() drops protection before accessing connection data, allowing a race condition where the connection can be freed concurrently. This can lead to a kernel crash or memory corruption. The fix involves holding a reference to the L2CAP connection while it is in use to prevent premature freeing.
