In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: minix: avoid overflow in bitmap block count calculation minix_check_superblock()… (CVE-2026-72369)CVE-2026-72369 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Minix filesystem code allows an integer overflow in the bitmap block count calculation. This occurs in the minix_check_superblock() function when mounting a crafted Minix v3 image with s_ninodes or s_zones values near UINT_MAX. The overflow causes the block count validation to incorrectly accept zero, leading to a kernel panic due to dereferencing unallocated bitmap buffers.
