A vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to iomap handling of pages on atomic direct I/O (DIO) size mismatch has been resolved. The issue occurs when bio_iov_iter_get_pages() or the bounce helper succeeds but constructs a short bio that is rejected by the REQ_ATOMIC size check before submission. The previous error path dropped the bio reference but failed to release attached pages, potentially causing resource leaks. The fix ensures pages are properly released or unbounced before the bio is dropped.
